Versus physical based damage, creatures have a seriously difficult time even hitting the merc when his Chill Armor is on.
Then we have the Chilling Armor proc upon that which effects both the Eth Fort’s defense as well as the Eth Andy = massive defense. Then we have the defense enhancement placed upon a good ethereal base, which is huge.
And in fact, the Fort gives +5% max res to lightning so he ends up with more resistance on Light than with Treachery “80%” which is the most valuable resistance in the end game due to things like burning souls and light enchants.
